Commercial contracts for the supply of poultry products to Turkmenistan were signed in Budapest, the Hungarian capital, Trend reports referring to the Turkmen Foreign Affairs Ministry.

The deals were concluded as part of a business forum organized by the Hungarian Export Promotion Agency, the Ministry of Finance and Economics of Turkmenistan with the participation of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET).

On the sidelines of the event, which was attended by about 100 representatives of the banking sector, leaders and representatives of private companies of the two countries held business negotiations.

The diplomatic relations between the countries were established in 1992.

Hungary is interested in increasing import of chemical products, oil and gas processing products from Turkmenistan. Turkmenistan is learning from Hungarian experience in improvement of irrigation systems and water resources management, the report said.

Turkmenistan and Hungary signed an intergovernmental convention on the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of tax evasion in respect of taxes on income and capital in June 2016.
