AzerGold, an Azerbaijani company that extracts, processes and sells gold and silver, is expanding its operations from year to year, the company's spokesperson Ariz Tarverdiyev told Trend.
"Last year, our export operations were very successful and we reached new heights and indicators," Tarverdiyev said.
According to him, the proceeds from the sale of gold amounted to 141.8 million manat (over $83.4 million), silver - more than 3 million manat (over $1.7 million); in total, 145.8 million manat (over $85.7 million).
"Gold sales indicated an increase of 33 percent in 2019, compared to 2018, while the silver sales went up by 47 percent," the AzerGold spokesperson said.
According to Tarverdiyev, 59,200 ounces of gold and 110,900 ounces of silver were sold in 2019.
AzerGold CJSC, which began operations in July 2016, is engaged in the study, research, exploration, management of precious and non-ferrous metal deposits, their extraction, processing and sale, as well as the application of new technologies in this area, improving the material and technical base and other work related to the development of this sphere.
