Iran discloses volume of products exported from Yazd province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Feb. 13

The goods worth $400 million (41 trillion rials) were exported through the customs of Iran’s Yazd province during 10 months of this Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 through January 20, 2020), Director General of the customs administration of the province Mohammad Huseyn Salmani said.

“Some 2.5 million tons of products were exported during the reporting period,” the director general added, Trend reports referring to the Iranian Customs Administration.

“The export volume of goods increased by 58 percent, while export value - by 110 percent during 10 months of this Iranian year compared to the same period of last Iranian year,” Salmani said. “More than 60 percent of the exported products account for ceramics.”

“Some 88,000 tons of products worth 7.4 trillion rials (about $177 million) were imported to the province during the reporting period,” Salmani said. “The import volume and value increased by 26 percent during 10 months of this Iranian year compared to the same period of last Iranian year.”

“Among the imported products were mainly equipment, spare parts for industrial production and raw materials,” the director general said.

“Some 2.1 million tons worth 26 trillion rials (about $619 million) were exported, while 52,000 tons worth 7.5 trillion rials (about $179 million) were imported last Iranian year (from March 21, 2018 through March 21, 2019),” Salmani said.
