The official opening ceremony of another Uzbek trading house of SAG (Samarkand) and Gulnor (Shahrisabz) companies on sale of carpets and silk products in the USA took place in New York, Trend reports citing Uzbek media.
Currently, within the first batch of the deliveries, Uzbek companies supplied 32 tons of carpets and textile products amounting to $300,00 as well as other products worth $350,000 to two trading houses (in Philadelphia and New York).
According to information of Uzbek Embassy in Washington, it's the second Uzbek trading house which opened in the USA in the last two years.
The trading platform will serve as a "showroom" for various exhibitions and fairs of goods of Uzbek manufacturers, including a wide range of home textiles. Visitors to the trading house appreciated the quality and variety of Uzbek textile products, the report said.
As stressed, the goods supplied to the US are in great demand and very competitive.
Recently, Gulnor company took part in the international exhibition "New York NOW" in New York, the world's largest platform for the exhibition and sale of textile products from manufacturers. More than 2,300 brands from 80 countries were presented at the event.
