Georgia exported 6,574 units of motor cars to Azerbaijan in a total amount of $60.6 million in January-February 2020, Trend reports referring to National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
In the reporting period, Georgia exported 340 units of motor vehicles for the transport of goods worth $2.3 million to Azerbaijan. Over the same period of 2019, 167 units of motor vehicles for the transport of goods totaling $1.1 million were exported from Georgia to Azerbaijan.
Meanwhile, 71.2 tons cigars, cheroots, cigarillos and cigarettes worth $1.8 million were exported from Georgia to Azerbaijan. This is 428.9 tons less compared to January-February 2019.
During the reporting period, Georgia exported 50.9 tons of medicaments in measured doses in the amount of $1.7 million to Azerbaijan. During January-February 2019, the export of medicaments in measured doses amounted to 136.6 tons totaling $5.5 million.
Meanwhile, Georgia exported 688.6 tons of frozen fish worth $1.7 million to Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan ranks second in Georgia’s commodity circulation.
In January-February 2020, the foreign trade turnover between Georgia and Azerbaijan amounted to more than $225.9 million, which is 12.2 percent of the total trade turnover of Georgia.
During the reporting period, Georgia exported products worth $90.2 million to Azerbaijan, which is 17.2 percent of total exports from Georgia.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan exported products worth $135.7 million to the Georgian market, which comprises 10.2 percent of total import to Georgia.
