Exports of products of Gilan province which is located in northern Iran, amounted to $579 million, in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020) said Farhad Dalgpush, chairman of the Organization of Industry, Mine and Trade of the province, Trend reports citing IRNA.
According to Dalgpush, the region's products worth $518.4 million were exported through customs and ports of Gilan province in the last Iranian year.
Dalgpush added that products worth $61.4 million were exported in the form of portfolio trade.
"Products of Gilan province were mainly exported to Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Ukraine, Pakistan and Belarus, respectively," he said.
The chairman said that it was planned to export products from province worth $500 million and also it is planned to export the product at the same value current Iranian year (started March 20, 2020).
There are about 2,948 industrial enterprises and about 50 export enterprises in Iran's Gilan province.
