Product exports via Iran's Sistan and Baluchestan border terminals revealed

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 7

As many as 2.09 million tons of products were exported via border terminals of Sistan and Baluchestan province in southeaster Iran, in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020), said The Director General of Sistan and Baluchestan Roads Maintenance and Transportation Department General Ayoub Kord, Trend reports citing official website of Department.

According to Kord, exports of products via border terminals of the province (1.75 million tons) increased by 19 percent compared to last year (March 21, 2018 to March 21, 2019).

Kord added that liquefied gas, hydrocarbon products, fittings, chemicals, cement, diesel and gasoline are the main exported products.

The official said that most products were exported via Iran's Mirjaveh border terminal last Iranian year. More than 1.13 million tons of products were exported through this border terminal and an increase of 60 percent compared to the past year.

"About 895,600 citizens passed through the Milek and Mirjaveh customs checkpoints last year. This is an increase of 32 percent compared to last year," he said.

Iran's Milek border customs is located on the border with Afghanistan, and Mirjaveh border customs is located on the border with Pakistan.
