Agriculture goods prices increase in Kazakhstan

Prices of Kazakhstan’s agriculture goods increased by 0.7 percent in Mar. 2020 compared to Feb. 2020 and by 2 percent compared to the end of 2019, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

The data said that goods of plant growing increased in price by 0.8 percent in a month (by 2.6 percent since the end of 2019), whereas goods of animal husbandry increased by 0.2 percent in a month (did not change compared to as of the end of 2019).

Thus, prices of buckwheat increased by 15 percent, wheat by 3 percent, corn by 0.9 percent, rye by 0.5 percent, barley by 0.3 percent, rice by 0.2 percent over the period from January to March 2020. In turn, prices of millet decreased by 0.2 percent, of oats by 0.1 percent.

Potatoes prices increased by 2 percent, carrots by 1.8 percent, onions by 0.5 percent, cabbage by 0.2 percent. Prices on dried peas increased by 4.5 percent, dried lentils by 2 percent, sunflower seeds by 1.3 percent.

Beet prices fell by 0.2 percent, of soybeans by 0.3 percent.

Prices of poultry meat dropped by 3 percent, of pork by 0.4 percent. Prices of sheep meat increased by 2.3 percent, of cattle meat by 2 percent, of horse meat by 1.5 percent.

Milk prices increased by 3.6 percent, hone prices by 2.1 percent, whereas prices of eggs dropped by 5.3 percent.
