Azerbaijan's Jalilabad Winery talks increasing volume of alcohol production

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 10

Jalilabad Winery, one of the biggest enterprises in Azerbaijan engaged in alcohol production, will increase the volume of production by 10-15 percent in 2020, a source in the winery told Trend.

According to the source, about 20,000 bottles of wine are produced daily at the winery.

“It is planned to increase this indicator to 25,000 bottles daily. We are also going to increase the production of cognac and cognac spirit. To this end, the opening of new production lines is expected in the second half of 2020,” said the source.

The source added that it is also planned to increase export to Russia and to a number of other Commonwealth Independent States (CIS).

The winery produced more than 170,000 decalitres of wine in 2019, which is a 17-percent increase compared to 2018.

Over 40 percent of the products were exported abroad.

The winery’s products have a certificate of conformity issued by the Azerbaijani State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents.

The Italian and Bulgarian equipment is used in the winery.
