Some 2,547 enterprises were put into operation in Iran's industrial parks last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020), said Iranian Deputy Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade and Executive Director of the Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization Mohsen Salehinia, Trend reports citing Shata news agency.
According to Salehinia, in total, 116 trillion rials (about $2.76 billion) have been invested in the establishment of these enterprises that have employed more than 40,000 people.
Salehinia added that a number of measures were taken to provide infrastructure in Iran's industrial parks in the last Iranian year.
“Commissioning of 337-megawatt power plants in 6 industrial parks, gas supply to 15 industrial parks, provision of 11 industrial parks with telephone, and provision of 18 industrial parks with fiber optics can be shown as an example," he said.
The deputy minister added that construction of service centers has begun in six provinces of Iran including Ardabil, Zanjan, Gilan, Semnan, Sistan and Baluchestan, and Gum, and the centers are ready for operation in two provinces.
Salehinia said that various projects have been implemented and completed in seven technology parks in Razavi Khorasan, East Azerbaijan, West Azerbaijan, Fars, Isfahan, Hamadan and Tehran provinces.
As many as 44,899 manufacturing enterprises were registered in 1,800 industrial parks in Iran from March 21 through December 2019.
