Uzbekistan, Malaysia to co-op on another investment project

Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Malaysia Ravshan Usmanov and Vice President of Malaysian Serba Dinamik International Limited (SDIL) Palendran Palachandran held a video conference on April 13, 2020, Trend reports citing the Uzbek Foreign Ministry.

During the videoconference the sides discussed issues of possible implementation in Bukhara region of the project on creation of the Central Asian service center for provision of repair services of industrial equipment of enterprises through the introduction of advanced environmentally friendly devices and technologies, including 3D printers and modern management methods.

It is planned to attract $15 million of direct Malaysian investments for the implementation of this project.

The Malaysian side informed about the interest in implementation of the above investment project and readiness to start work on its practical implementation as the epidemiological situation stabilizes.

In order to consider the possibility of further implementation of the project, agreements have been reached on signing a memorandum indicating preliminary terms and obligations of the parties to establish a service center and sending proposals on the location of the facility by the Bukhara Regional Administration indicating the availability of transport and public utilities infrastructure.

Serba Dinamik is a group of companies providing engineering services in the oil and gas, chemical and energy industries, and is also considered one of the drivers of the Malaysian industrial sector. It operates in Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Oman, the United Kingdom and other countries of the world.

The company's market volume is about $2 billion, and the total value of its shares is about $350 million. The company employs over 1,500 people.
