Iran unveils 6 products to fight coronavirus spread

TEHRAN, Iran, April 18

Iran's Shahid Behesti University of Medical Sciences has unveiled six products to treat and prevent coronavirus, said Iran's Vice President for Science and Technology.

"These products include a measuring device that would be installed at entrance gates to measure temperature and disinfect virus," said Sorena Sattari, Trend reports citing IRNA.

"Currently, various types of testing kits and other related equipment are being produced domestically that help to reduce the disease spread," said the vice president.

"These devices include smart measuring pulse oximeter that connected and provides data to organization's staff system. The installed ozone generator equipped with sensor that can disinfect air and produce ozone onsite does not stain equipment or cloths," Sattari said.

"Nano shield is another product that can be used by hospitals, and the other three products are COVID-19 molecule testing kit, management system and an application to help ensure nutrition and safety during coronavirus," he added.

"The international technology and innovation complex at the Shahid Behesti University of Medical Sciences will set up centers improve smart technology in the field of health care," he said.

"Two accelerators are currently active in the field of pharmacology, while it is expected that eight more accelerators would join the complex that function in medicine, cosmetics, hygiene, biotechnology and digital health," Sattari said.
