Azerbaijan's biscuit factory expands range of packaged products

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 6

Lezzet Gida biscuit factory located in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan expanded range of some types of packaged products, a source in the factory told Trend.

According to the source, the factory completed the development of a production line of several types of pistachios in packages of various weights.

“The factory's production volumes increased by 20-25 percent compared to preceding years. It is planned to grow the indicator up to 30 percent this year,” the source noted.

The factory produces packaged products, including sunflower and pumpkin seeds, hazelnuts, peanuts, almonds and pistachios in packages of various weights. The products are sold in the local market in Nakhchivan, as well as in Baku.

“The medium-term plans of the factory are to bring the products to neighboring markets in the region. The enterprise relies on exports to Russia and Georgia. Negotiations are being held with potential customers abroad. The tentative export dates are scheduled for September-October this year,” added the source.

The products of Lezzet Gida factory have a certificate of conformity from the Azerbaijani State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents.

The factory has been provided with modern Turkish equipment.
