Representatives of the State Tourism Development Committee of Uzbekistan and Uzbek diplomats in Turkey discussed further development of cooperation in tourism with Turkish specialists and tour operators via a videoconference, Trend reports with the reference to Uzbek media.
From the Turkish side the event was attended by the chairman of the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TURSAB) Firuz Baglikaya. Participants exchanged experience in the field of drawing up of forecast indicators of attraction of tourists for the forthcoming period, plans on restoration of tourist sector in the post-pandemic period, the message said.
The parties agreed on further continuation of the dialogue, expansion of ties and exchange of experience in the restoration of the tourism sector in the first stage at the expense of domestic tourism, in the second - at the expense of regional tourism from neighboring countries.
The sides also touched upon aspects of possible introduction of Turkey's experience in certification system of tourist facilities for safety from epidemic in Uzbekistan.
At the end of the event, an agreement was reached to continue the dialogue, organize in the near future a webinar with participation of representatives of tourism sector of the two countries with the assistance of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) for a detailed exchange of information and possible synchronization of the development of standards of certification system of tourist facilities for safety from the epidemic "Virus-Free".
