Kazakhstan overseeing various projects within food chain creation in Nur-Sultan

A total of 31 investment projects worth 82.3 billion tenge ($194.8 million) are to be implemented within the framework of Food Belt creation in Kazakhstan’s Nur-Sultan city in 2020, Trend reports with reference to the press office of Kazakhstan’s prime minister.

Seven projects will be implemented in dairy farming, seven in processing agricultural products, five in the construction of a granary and a potato storage, four in construction of feedlots, pedigree reproducing, four in meat farming, two in development of poultry farming, one in pig complex construction, one in fish farming.

Currently, 128 ventures of Akmola region are engaged in agricultural products supplies, including 68 ventures supplying livestock products (meat and meat products, milk and dairy products), six supplying poultry products (poultry, eggs), 54 supplying crop products (flour, potatoes, vegetables, vegetable oil).

Akmola region’s agricultural producers supplied 14,300 tons of dairy products to the Nur-Sultan’s market since the beginning of 2020 (increase of 1.7 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2019), 7,200 tons of meat and meat products (increase of 1.8 percent), 67.2 million eggs (increase of 3.2 percent).

Akmola region development plan for 2020 also oversees implementation of 23 industrial projects worth 71.6 billion tenge ($169.5 million). Three projects worth 33.6 billion tenge ($79.5 billion) already were commissioned in 2020: 100 MW solar power plant of KB-ENTERPRISES LLP implemented in cooperation with Russian GK Hevel; mill complex of the flour-grinding industry with a capacity of 500 tons per day of Urozhay LLP; complex for milk processing and production of dairy products of FAMILY FARM LLP.

The launch of a service center for the sale and maintenance of agricultural machinery of Eurasia Group Kazakhstan LLP is to be carried out before the end of 2020.

Large investment projects for the construction of the RG Gold LLP gold recovery factory, the TsATEK Green Energy LLP wind farm, and the Ereymentau Wind Power LLP wind farm are currently also underway in the Akmola region and are to be commissioned after 2020.
