Kazakhstan ups its gold, silver production

Manufacturing volume of non-processed and semi-processed silver in Kazakhstan has amounted to 307,026 kg over the first four months of 2020, which is 3.6 percent less than during the same period of 2019, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

According to the data, non-processed and semi-processed silver production amounted to 75,673 kg in Apr. 2020, which is 14.2 percent less than in Apr. 2019.

Manufacturing of non-processed and semi-processed gold increased by 13 percent during the reporting months having amounted to 35,267 kg (9,510 kg in Apr. 2020, increase by 10.3 percent compared to Apr. 2019).

Production of non-processed aluminum and aluminum oxide amounted to 539,670 tons during the reporting period, which indicates an increase by 1.9 percent compared to the same period of last year. The production volume of non-processed aluminum and aluminum oxide was 138,609 tons in Apr. 2020, which is 3.9 percent more than in Apr. 2019.

Manufacturing of non-processed refined lead amounted to 41,562 tons over the reporting period, which is 8.1 percent less than during the same period of 2019. The volume of non-processed refined lead produced in Apr. 2020 was 11,051 tons, which is 13.1 percent less than in Apr. 2019.

Production of non-processed zinc amounted to 107,217 tons, which is 0.9 percent less than during the same period of 2019 (25,551 tons in Apr. 2020, decrease by 8.7 percent compared to Apr. 2019).

As reported, manufacturing of non-processed non-alloyed refined copper amounted to 165,085 tons, which is 10.4 percent more than during the same period of 2019 (41,018 tons in Apr. 2020, increase by 15.8 percent compared to Apr. 2019).

Manufacturing of other non-ferrous metals and products from them amounted to 18,798 tons, which is 18.1 percent more than during the same period of 2019 (5,212 tons in Apr. 2020, increase by 17.8 percent compared to Apr. 2019).
