Kazakhstan ups revenue from road cargo transportation

Kazakhstan’s revenue from transportation of cargo, luggage and cargo luggage via automobile and urban electric transport amounted to 52.9 billion tenge ($128.1 million) over first four months of 2020, which is 9.8 percent more than during the same period of 2019, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

The volume of cargo, luggage and cargo luggage transported via automobile and urban electric transport during the reporting period amounted to 877.4 million tons, which is 9.3 percent less compared to the same period of last year.

Cargo turnover amounted to 43.3 billion ton-kilometers which is 12.6 percent less than during the same period of last year.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s revenue from passenger transportation reached 25.4 billion tenge ($61.6 million) over the first four months of 2020, which is 28.6 percent less than during the same period of last year.

Number of transported passengers amounted to 5.6 trillion people, which is 24.4 percent less than during the same period of last year (7.4 trillion people).

The passenger traffic amounted to 60.8 billion passenger-kilometers during the reporting period, which compared to 81.3 billion passenger-kilometers over the same period of 2019, indicates a decrease by 25.2 percent.
