Meat production in in Kazakhstan has amounted to 134,705 tons over the first five months of 2020, which is 11.4 percent more than during the same period of 2019, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
According to the data, meat production amounted to 25,285 tons in May 2020, which is 1.5 percent more than in May 2019.
Production of poultry meat increased by 20.3 percent during the reporting months having amounted to 43,619 tons (8,329 tons in May 2020), which is an increase by 1.7 percent compared to May 2019).
Production of fish amounted to 22,586 tons during the reporting period, which indicates an increase by 96.2 percent compared to the same period of last year.
The production volume of fish was 7,200 tons in May 2020, which is 2.3 percent more than in May 2019.
Dairy production amounted to 231,468 tons over the reporting period, which is 2.5 percent less than during the same period of 2019. The volume of milk produced in May 2020 was 46,988 tons, which is 4.8 percent less than in May 2019.
The dairy production output amounted to 100,834 tons over the reporting period, which is 5 percent more than during the same period of 2019. The volume of milk products manufactured in May 2020 was 20,185 tons, which is 4.7 percent more than in May 2019.
