Uzbekistan’s Navoiazot JSC is preparing to fully load its new nitric acid plant, Trend reports citing the Fertilizer Daily.
As reported, the plant has a design capacity of 500,000 tons of nitric acid per year.
"The plant is currently 80 percent loaded due to ammonia supply restrictions and a number of unit failures that will be resolved in the coming weeks," the report says.
The new nitric acid plant is one of the projects being implemented at Navoiazot in order to upgrade its facilities.
Moreover, a complex with 660,000 tons of ammonia and 580,000 tons of urea production capacity per year is also under construction on the territory of Navoiazot JSC.
Navoiyazot JSC is one of the largest chemical enterprises in Uzbekistan, which is engaged in processing natural gas into mineral fertilizers, production of chemical reagents for gold mining and production of low-tonnage chemistry.
