By Ilkin Seyfaddini - Trend:

Uzbek agricultural cluster Jizzax Organic will begin using innovative sprinklers of the US Valley Irrigation company from September 2020, Trend reports with the reference to press service of the cluster.

The first batch of the sprinklers has already arrived in Uzbekistan. The total cost of the sprinklers was $8.8 million.

"This equipment will increase land yields by 30 percent and reduce the cost of animal diets by 25-30 percent, which will directly affect the price of meat and milk," the message said.

The new irrigation complex will cover 600 hectares of pasture land in 2020. Some 40 percent of the installation of plastic pipes for sprinkler equipment has already been completed. The cluster is also carrying out other work to improve the irrigation system of Jizzakh region: construction of a pumping station has entered the final stage and additional 6.2 kilometers of main pipeline have been laid.

"An innovative feature of US equipment is its remote control modules. The operator can control irrigation from the office using a mobile device or computer," the message said.

In 2021 the company plans to install Valley Irrigation sprinkler equipment on another 300 hectares of land for grazing.

Jizzax Organic is capable of producing 1,500 tons of premium marble beef and 24,000 tons of milk per year.
