About 4 specialized panels have been organized in Iran to save 343 million euros in the automotive industry since the beginning of current Iranian year (March 20, 2020) to date, said Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran, Mehdi Sadeghi Niaraki, Trend reports citing Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran.
“In addition, two specialized panels were organized in the field of ICT to save 118 million euros,” he said.
Sadeghi Niaraki added that that the process of organizing specialized panels for the production of local products and equipment in various industries to meet the needs of Iran began from last Iranian year (March 21, 2019).
The deputy minister said that in this regard, 11 specialized panels were organized in the last Iranian year to align the needs with industry potentials in strategic industries, including automotive, ICT, steel and copper.
After the US imposed sanctions on Iran in November 2018, Iran has begun to take steps to focus on domestic production in many areas.
