Uzbekistan exported 47,700 tons of peaches to nine foreign countries during the period from January through July 2020, Trend reports citing the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
The total amount of cargo amounted to $36.3 million. In comparison with the same period of 2019, Uzbekistan increased peach exports by 22,000 tons.
"Fergana region accounted for 34.9 percent of the total amount of exported peaches, or 16,700 tons. According to this indicator, the Namangan region took second place - 8,200 tons, Tashkent region took third - 7,500 tons and the Khorezm region was in the fourth position - 5,500 tons," the message said.
It was noted that 22,100 tons of peaches were exported to Russia and 20,600 tons to Kazakhstan.
Uzbekistan exported $427.2 million worth of fruits and vegetables in the first half of 2020. The volume of exports of fruits and vegetables made up 720,400 tons.
