Iran`s Omid Entrepreneurship Fund pays over $28 million for rural employment in West Azerbaijan Province
TEHRAN, Iran, Sep. 11
The director-general of Omid Entrepreneurship Fund of West Azerbaijan province announced that the fund has participated in 1,539 rural employment projects in the province in the past two years, and paid over $28 million of loans and credits.
"By implementing this number of projects, 3,844 people have been provided with sustainable employment in the villages,” the director-general of Omid Entrepreneurship Fund of West Azerbaijan province, Alireza Akhoundzadeh said, Trend reports citing IRNA.
He explained that the projects were in the fields of manufacturing, agriculture, and services.
“The agricultural sector has the most projects, which include greenhouses, livestock, purchase of tractors, and agricultural equipment as well as the production of chemical fertilizers."
He went on to say that $14 million of credit will fund the rural employment sector by the end of the current Iranian year (end on March 21, 2021).
He emphasized that rural employment and developing rural-based projects are the most important programs for the Fund.
