Turkmenistan increases exports of petroleum products to EAEU countries

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 17

Turkmenistan exported 3,621 tons of petroleum products to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in 1H2020, which is 2.2 times more than in the same period last year, Trend reports, citing statistics from the Eurasian Economic Commission.

The above-mentioned volume of petroleum products was exported to such EAEU countries as Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia for a total amount of $1.8 million, which is 90.5 percent more than the amount of exported oil products from Turkmenistan to the EAEU countries in 1H2019.

According to statistics, the share of Belarus in the amount of exported petroleum products from Turkmenistan was $45,090, Kazakhstan -$1.3 million, and Russia – $485,170.

In addition, during the above-mentioned period, Turkmenistan also exported petroleum coke and bitumen in the amount of 2,110 tons, totaling $872,805, to Russia.

Also, 40 tons of fluorine, chlorine, bromine and iodine were imported to Russia from Turkmenistan for a total of $868,300.

Turkmenistan exported 2,922 tons of petroleum products to the countries of the EAEU from January through May, which is 4.8 times more than in the same period last year.
