Demand for Kazakhstan among Turkish job seekers soars

The number of job seekers from Turkey who visited Kazakhstan massively increased in the past eight months of 2020, the Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR) told Trend on Sept.18.
From January through August 2020, the number of Turkish citizens who visited Kazakhstan through İŞKUR to find work grew by 55.2 percent compared to the same period of 2019. A total of 461 Turkish citizens visited the country via İŞKUR over the reporting period.
The agency said that 6,408 Turkish citizens went abroad via İŞKUR during the mentioned period, which is 47.8 percent less compared to the same period of last year.
In August 2020, 75,217 citizens were provided with jobs through this agency in Turkey. Some 30.7 percent of the total number of employed citizens accounted for women and 69.3 percent for men.
Over the reporting month, 97.2 percent of the total number of citizens provided with jobs accounted for the private sector. The number of unemployed in Turkey amounted to over 3.3 million people, 47.6 percent of whom are women, and 52.4 percent are men.
