Uzbekistan is interested in learning from the experience of Azexport website of the Azerbaijani Center for Economic Reforms Analysis and Communication, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Azerbaijan Bahrom Ashrafkhanov said.
Ashrafkhanov made the remark at the meeting with Executive Director of the Center Vusal Gasimli, Trend reports referring to the Center.
“The activity of Azexport website and the Digital Trade Hub, as one of the examples of reforms in the country, attracted special attention,” the ambassador said.
"Uzbekistan is interested in learning from the experience of implementing the transport and logistics, competitive, innovative trade relations in Azerbaijan," the ambassador said.
“The embassy will promote the cooperation between the Azerbaijani Center for Economic Reforms Analysis and Communication and the Center for Economic Research and Reforms under the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan,” the Center said.
The ambassador stressed that Uzbekistan’s information resources are also interested in publishing the information on Azerbaijan’s economic and innovative projects.
Then Gasimli informed about the new management structure of economic policy and economic reforms being carried out in Azerbaijan.
Gasimli also stressed that the activity of the Azerbaijani Center for Economic Reforms Analysis and Communication, Azexport website, the Enterprise Azerbaijan website, the Single Window Export Support Center, and the Digital Trade Hub contribute to the development of relations with the region, as well as with other countries.
Head of Azexport website Aykhan Gadashov informed about the activity of the Azexport website.
Gadashov stressed that as the website is a unified database of goods which are produced in Azerbaijan, entrepreneurs can demonstrate their local products all over the world for free.
"During the activity of Azexport website, the availability of Azerbaijani products on international online trading platforms has increased by 500 times," Gadashov added.
The volume of foreign trade operations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan amounted to $47.06 million from January through August 2020, which is 11 percent more than in the same period of last year.
The main spheres of foreign trade operations between the two countries are trade, mechanical engineering and metalworking, finance and insurance, real estate transactions, energy, services, jewelry production and repair, food industry and light industry.
