Measures are planned to support entrepreneurship, small and medium-sized businesses, increase the volume of domestic production, and ensure food abundance in domestic markets of Turkmenistan in 2021, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.
This was stated by Turkmen Minister of Finance and Economy Muhammetgeldi Serdarov to President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during a working meeting.
The work will continue on the privatization of state-owned facilities and enterprises, the creation of joint-stock companies, and increasing the share of the private sector in the country's economy next year.
Work will also be carried out to improve the tax system and find additional sources of funding for the implementation of the plans.
Together with the Mejlis (Parliament) of the country, the improvement of legal documents regulating activities in the economy is being carried out, the report says.
Currently, work is also underway to ensure financial and economic stability, full utilization of production capacities, reduce non-targeted expenses, and increase the profitability of enterprises on an innovative basis.
A special Program for Turkmenistan's Socio-Economic Development in 2019-2025 is underway.
In particular, according to the above-mentioned program, the country is working to modernize and develop sectors of the national economy, increase market competitiveness, develop private entrepreneurship, increase the competitiveness of the national economy and export potential.
