Panel on domestic petrochemicals production to be organized in Iran

A special panel will be organized in Iran to develop domestic production of equipment for the petrochemical industry, said Mohammad Mehdi Hadavi, Director of Domestic Production Center of Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran, Trend reports citing the ministry.

The director stressed that a contract will be signed between Siraf Energy Company and Fanavaran Petrochemical Company for the domestic production of equipment worth 60.8 million euro.

He added that so far, three panels have been held, within which contracts were signed in Iran to save about 160 million euro with domestic production of equipment for the petrochemical industry.

“It was decided at the first panel to produce 43 million euro worth of equipment domestically on the basis of a contract signed between Machine Sazi Arak (MSA) Corporation and AzarAb Holding Company,” Hadavi said.

The director noted that a contract was signed during the second panel between Siraf Energy Company and Machine Sazi Arak Corporation and it was decided to produce $64 million euro worth of equipment domestically.

Hadavi emphasized that furthermore, a contract was signed in the third panel between Salman Farsi Petrochemical Company and Machine Sazi Arak Corporation to produce 52 million euro worth of equipment domestically.
