Japan intends to expand the range of products imported from Uzbekistan, Trend reports with reference to Dunyo information agency.

A meeting was held with the executive director of the Tokura Shoji Company Masaharu Sugie during the visit of the delegation of the Embassy of Uzbekistan to the city of Nagoya in Japan.

Sugiye praised the quality of dried fruits (dried grapes, prunes, dried apricots) imported from Uzbekistan and expressed readiness to further expand the volume of supplies.

The inclusion of Uzbek dried fruits in “Tokura Shoji” catalog, which is regularly published and distributed among the business partners of the Japanese company evidences the high interest of the Japanese company in Uzbek products.

An agreement has been reached with Masaharu Sugie to export the first batch of wines from Uzbek Bagizagan Wine Factory to Japan for sale in the domestic market and study of consumer demand in wholesale and retail trade.

Tokura Shoji Ltd. was founded in 1993. The Company's line of business includes the wholesale distribution of home furnishings and housewares.

The company is operating in three divisions - the Machinery Division, which manufactures and markets confectionery and bread machines, the Raw Materials Division, which sells ingredients, and the Mamapan Division, which retails classroom products and homemade bread.
