Qatari companies eye projects in Kazakhstan's agro-industrial complex

Investors from Qatar were presented with more than 10 projects in Kazakhstan’s fields of mining and metallurgical and agro-industrial complex and tourism worth about $2.2 billion, Trend reports citing Kazakhstan’s KAZAKH INVEST National Company.

Investment projects were presented during the visit of the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Timur Suleimenov to the State of Qatar.

During the visit, a number of meetings were held with the largest Qatari companies «Qatar Mining», «Qatar Investment Authority», «Alfardan», as well as banks and financial institutions. Within the framework of joint negotiations, the Chairman of the Board of KAZAKH INVEST Baurzhan Sartbayev spoke about the main advantages of investing in Kazakhstan, and also presented the country's investment climate.

According to Sartbayev, KAZAKH INVEST constantly analyzes investment opportunities in Kazakhstan, identifies potential niches and projects that are attractive to investors. He said the company is ready to offer potential investors specific projects in various sectors with our comprehensive support.

During the meeting, Arab investors were presented with more than 10 projects in the field of mining and metallurgical and agro-industrial complex and tourism worth about $2.2 billion. Following the talks, Qatari companies expressed interest in implementing a number of projects in the agro-industrial complex and mining and metallurgical complex.
