Carrefour is running at a loss in Georgia, Trend reports via Georgian media.

Its revenue reached 473.68 million lari ($139.6 million) and the loss - 32.5 million lari ($9.5 million).

The company owned two hypermarkets, 11 supermarkets, and 6 small markets in 2019.

In the last year, the revenue of the company was increased by 18.9 million lari ($5.5 million), as well as total profit from 6.2 million lari ($1.8 million) to 92.45 million lari ($27.2 million).

The loss of Carrefour is generally caused by the financial costs of parent companies. Otherwise, Carrefour has healthy cash flow, which is confirmed by the partial repayment of the loan of the parent company and full repayment of the loan of EBRD.

As for the income, the annual revenue was 473.68 million lari ($139.6 million), from which 454.2 million lari ($133.9 million) is for the sale of the goods, and 5 million lari ($1.4 million) came from the listing and gondola. The company received 13 million lari ($3.8 million) from the customers and 0.6 million lari ($176,899) from the opening fee.
