The Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping CJSC (ASCO) is taking measures to reduce its harmful impact on ecology, ASCO Spokesman Mehman Mehdiyev told Trend.
The ASCO continues to work to find alternative waste reduction methods, Mehdiyev said.
“One such method is recycling waste, which in turn is one of the best means of positive environmental impact. ASCO is currently in the process of separating and transferring waste such as metal, paper and cardboard, lubricating oils, oil sludge, plastic. In addition, thanks to ASCO's activities, a list of environmental aspects that can have an impact on the environment has been compiled, and measures have been developed to reduce and eliminate them," the spokesman said.
Mehdiyev stressed that ASCO analyzes important environmental aspects that can negatively affect the environment as a result of its activities at the end of each year, determines and monitors measures to eliminate them, including them in the program of goals and objectives for the coming year.
All of the above measures to achieve the goals are analyzed at least once a quarter and the identified deficiencies are eliminated, said Mehdiyev.
“ASCO cooperates with many organizations providing various types of services, namely, removal, disposal and recycling of waste and waste,” Mehdiyev added.
