Uzbekistan, India discussed the implementation of a project for the production of medicines in the pharmaceutical free economic zones in Uzbekistan, Trend reports referring to uzdaily.uz.

A meeting was held with an Indian businessman, Managing Director of Curis Pharmaceuticals, Adil Abdul at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in India during which the sides discussed the work carried out in Uzbekistan to develop the pharmaceutical industry, improve the supply of the population with high-quality, effective and safe medicine products, the advantages and opportunities created for manufacturers.

In this regard, the Indian businessman was informed in detail about the pharmaceutical free economic zones operating in Uzbekistan.

In addition, the representative of the Indian company said that there is great potential in other areas of economic cooperation between the two countries, including the export of handicrafts not only to India, but also to the Middle East, and cooperation in the field of tourism.

Also, the sides noted the possibility of active organization of tourist groups in Ziyorat tourism (pilgrimage) and in other tourist destinations in the historical cities of Uzbekistan after the stabilization of the current pandemic situation in the world.
