The President of the Export Confederation of Iran Mohammad Lahouti said the Islamic Republic can export engineering and technical services to Azerbaijan, Trend reports via ILNA.
Lahouti pointed out that Iran has potential to provide its resources to help Azerbaijan reconstruct Nagorno-Karabakh. He said Iran is known as a country with good positions in the fields of technical and engineering services.
“We have very powerful and reputable engineering companies,” he said. “In the early 2011, Iran exports of engineering services totaled $4 billion.”
Lahouti admitted that in 2012 Iran's exports of technical engineering services have decreased.
He went on to say that Iran has good capacity, which can be used not only in reconstruction of Nagorno-Karabakh.
"Iran's exports to Azerbaijan were interrupted for a short time, but with ceasing of hostilities and return of peace and stability to the region, shortcomings can be eliminated," he said.
