Export operations between Azerbaijan, Belarus grow

The value of Azerbaijan’s exports to Belarus totaled $162.8 million from January through November 2020, which is more than 8 times more compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports referring to the statistical bulletin of the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan.

Thus, the share of Belarus in the total export of Azerbaijan increased from 0.1 percent to 1.25 percent, according to the SCC report.

By December 1, 2020, imports of Belarusian products to Azerbaijan decreased from $156 million to $99.36 million, namely, by 36.3 percent. Belarus’ share in the total imports of Azerbaijan amounted to 1.03 percent of the total volume, while a year earlier - 1.26 percent.

In the first 11 months of 2020, the volume of foreign trade operations between Azerbaijan and Belarus amounted to $262.2 million, which increased by 49.8 percent compared to the same period of 2019.

The balance of foreign trade turnover between the two countries for the reporting period became positive, amounting to $63.4 million.

Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover from January through November 2020 totaled over $22.7 billion, which is 25.9 percent less than in the same period of 2019.
