Foundation of facilities laid in Iran’s Chabahar port

The foundations of four facilities have been laid in the Chabahar port in the Sistan and Baluchestan (southeastern Iran), said Behrouz Aghaei, the Director-General of Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran’s (PMO) branch in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Trend reports referring to the PMO’s website.

According to Aghaei, a total of 848 billion rials (about $20.2 million) will be spent on the construction of these facilities.

Aghaei added that the marine search and rescue centers will be built with the spending of 180 billion rials (about $4.28 million).

The director-general stressed that the radio wave stations will be built to cover the coasts of Sistan and Baluchestan Province, and 110 billion rials (about $ 2.62 million) will be spent on these stations.

“Moreover, 550 billion rials (about $13 million) to be spent on the establishment of firefighting and landscaping centers in Chabahar port,” he said.

According to him, the petrochemical storage facilities will be built with the spending of about 8.2 billion rials (about $194,000).
