Iran's trade turnover with Turkmenistan decreased by 58 percent during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 20 through December 20, 2020), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing the statistics of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI).
According to the statistics, the trade turnover between Iran and Turkmenistan amounted to 463,000 tons worth about $105 million over the reporting period.
“Iran exported 414,000 tons of goods worth $91.4 million to Turkmenistan within 9 months. The exports decreased by 60 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year,” the statistics said.
In addition, Iran imported 49,400 tons of goods worth $13.1 million from Turkmenistan in the first 9 months of the current Iranian year. The imports decreased by 21 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year, the statistics said.
Iran exported 85.2 million tons of goods worth $25 billion in the first 9 months of the current Iranian year. Moreover, Iran imported 25 million tons of goods worth $26.8 billion over the reporting period.
