BAKU, Azerbaijan, Jan.21
Trend:
Iran's government expects the parliament to implement necessary measures to reach the predicted official foreign currency rate of 115,000 rials per USD for the new Iranian year (starts March 21,2021) budget bill, said the head of Planning and Budget Organization of Iran Mohammad Bagher Nobakht, Trend reports via IRNA.
"Increasing foreign currency rate is illogical and we expect to reach more balanced figures," he said.
"The parliament has set the 175,000 rial per USD rate as the official foreign currency rate in the new Iranian year (starts March 21,2021) budget bill, we hope that the figure would be reduced to 115,000 rials," Nobakht said during the Khorasan Razavi Planning and Development Council meeting.
"The predicted oil price in the new Iranian year (starts March 21,2021) budget bill is $40 per barrel, and considering the current situation, it can be reached," he said.
Iranian president has recently met with the Parliament speaker and the head of Judiciary and discussed closer cooperation between government and the Integration Budget Commission to reach a common ground over the new Iranian year (starts March 21,2021) budget bill.
