Iran considers the participation in the restoration of Karabakh as one of the main goals, the Chairman of the Iran-Azerbaijan Joint Chamber of Commerce Hossein Pirmuazzin said, Trend reports.
He made the remark in a webinar on Trade Potentials and Opportunities between Iran and Azerbaijan.
The chairman stressed that as a joint chamber of commerce of Iran and Azerbaijan, this goal is pursued. Iran will use all its potential for the restoration of the liberated territories of Azerbaijan.
Pirmuazzin added that for this purpose, the chamber will collect information on the work opportunities of authorized Iranian companies and submit it to the Azerbaijani side.
“A number of directions for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iran have already been identified. The first direction is the reconstruction and the second is the joint investments approved at the meeting of the joint commission,” he said.
The official noted that in addition, certain discussions were conducted on the elimination of problems facing cooperation between the banks of the two countries, the acceleration of the process of the establishment of a joint industrial park, the construction of a railway line from Azerbaijan to Parsabad County in Iran's Ardabil Province, the cooperation on energy projects, activities in Azerbaijan agricultural sector.
Pirmuazzin emphasized that during the coronavirus pandemic, the customs services between Iran and Azerbaijan did not stop working.
The 14th meeting of the Azerbaijan-Iran Intergovernmental Economic Commission on the economic, trade, and humanitarian cooperation was held in Tehran on January 18.
