The car manufacturing in Iran increased by 13.9 percent during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through January 20, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing the statistics of the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran.
According to the statistics, about 701,000 cars were manufactured in Iran over the reporting period. While in the same period last Iranian year, Iran manufactured 615,000 cars.
"In addition, 68,300 pickups were manufactured in Iran within 10 months. This is an increase of 14 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, Iran manufactured 59,900 pickups in the same period last Iranian year," the statistics said.
At the same time, Iran manufactured about 1,540 buses, minibuses and vans in 10 months. This is a decrease of 9.7 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. Thus, 1,700 buses, minibuses and vans were manufactured in Iran in the same period last Iranian year, the statistics said.
According to the statistics, moreover, 519 combines were manufactured in Iran during the ten months. The combine manufacturing increased by 44.2 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
"Furthermore, Iran manufactured 17,700 tractors during the 10 months. Tractor manufacturing increased by 13.6 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year," the statistics said.
