Kazakhstan reports increase in passenger car manufacturing

A total of 5,393 passenger cars were manufactured in Kazakhstan over January 2021, which is 3.9 percent more than during the same month of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

The number of cargo vehicles manufactured in Kazakhstan during the reporting period stood at 363 vehicles, of specialized vehicles at eight units.

Furthermore, the number of trailers, semi-trailers, and containers manufactured in Jan. 2021 amounted to 67, which is 32.3 percent less than during Jan. 2020.

In turn, spare parts for vehicle output amounted to 4,517 during January 2021, which is 24.9 percent less than during the same period of 2019.

Some 4 diesel locomotives were also manufactured in Kazakhstan over January 2021, and 12 cargo wagons.

A total of 64,700 passenger cars were manufactured in Kazakhstan over 2020, which is 47 percent more than during the same period of 2019.

The number of cargo vehicles manufactured in Kazakhstan during the reporting period stood at 8,240 vehicles (1,023 in Dec.), of specialized vehicles at 404 units (74 in Dec.).
