Buy/sell operations at Iran Mercantile Exchange revealed

A total of 719,000 tons of goods worth more than 108 trillion rials (about $2.57 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) last Iranian week (February 13 through February 18), Trend reports citing the IME’s official website.

However, 790,000 tons of goods worth more than 109 trillion rials (about $2.59 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the preceding week (February 6 through February 11).

According to the report, about 397,000 tons of goods worth about 66.2 trillion rials (about $1.57 billion) were sold in the industrial and mining products section of IME last week.

"So, 377,000 tons of steel, 9,200 tons of copper, 7,280 tons of aluminum, 150 tons of molybdenum sulfur, 18 tons of precious metal concentrate, 60 tons of lead, 3,000 tons of zinc and 24kg of gold bars were sold in this section," the report said.

In addition, more than 316,000 tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth about 41.9 trillion rials (about $998 million) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section of IME last Iranian week, the report said.

According to the report, 64,300 tons of vacuum bottom, 91,600 tons of bitumen, 85,300 tons of polymeric substances, 38,000 tons of chemicals, 26,500 tons of lube cut, 3,800 tons of base oil, 30 tons of argon, 350 tons of facades and 6,500 tons of sulfur were sold in this section.

Furthermore, 5,880 tons of various products were sold in the submarket section of the exchange.
