The Authority of the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) and the Primakov National Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IMEMO RAS) signed a memorandum of understanding, Trend reports citing AIFC.
Within the agreement the parties will cooperate in the field of achieving common goals for the development of international cooperation, the formation of scientific and expert information and its exchange in the main directions of interaction between the parties, as well as the popularization of scientific and expert knowledge.
Thus, the parties intend to create scientific and expert teams and working groups to study the problems of the world economy and form relevant national practices.
Joint educational programs on the evolution of world financial markets and the impact of world processes on the functioning of national economies is to be conducted within the cooperation.
Scientific and expert cooperation will be aimed at promoting the creation of an attractive investment environment in Kazakhstan and Russia considering the global processes taking place in the world.
The mission of the Astana International Financial Centre is in assisting the sustainable and long term development of the region. The strategic directions for the sustainable development of the AIFC include the development of a circular economy, financial technologies, and “digital financial center.”
Activities of the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution “the Primakov National Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the Russian Academy of Sciences” (IMEMO RAS) is aimed at studying the main trends in the development of modern world politics and the world economy, at developing a reliable analytical basis for making political decisions.
