Volume of dairy product exports from EAEU to Turkmenistan revealed

Turkmenistan imported condensed and powdered milk, as well as cream from the countries of the European Economic Union (EAEU) in the amount of 60 tons from January through February 2021, Trend reports with reference to the Eurasian Economic Commission.

The amount of imports was worth to $137,383, while the exporting country was Belarus.

In the reporting period, Turkmenistan imported 24.6 tons of cheese and cottage cheese for a total amount of $36,066.

Thus, the exporting countries of cheese and yogurt in this period were Belarus and Russia. The share of Belarus in the export price was $14,318, while Russia’s $21,747.

In addition, statistics indicate the export of buttermilk, yogurt, kefir from the EAEU to Turkmenistan in the amount of more than 120 tons, worth $91,832 from Russia.

From January through November 2020, Turkmenistan increased the import of condensed and powdered milk, as well as cream by 2.3 times from the EAEU countries compared to the same period in 2019.

During this period, Turkmenistan imported more than 541,704 tons of condensed and powdered milk and cream from Belarus and Russia for a total of $ 1.1 million, which is also 2.3 times more than in the same period a year earlier.
