More than 121 million manat ($71.18 million) of subsidies for cropping have been paid out to 294,499 farmers in Azerbaijan to date, the Ministry of Agriculture told Trend.
According to the ministry, the Agency for Agricultural Credit and Development continues to monitor farmers' applications for sowing and land data. The latest transfer of the agency to the cards of farmers amounted to over 7.9 million manat ($4.6 million) of subsidies.
"In general, by January 31, 2021, more than 306,000 farmers had applied online for subsidies in connection with the autumn crops. Farmers submitted 591,027 applications to the electronic agricultural information system," the ministry said.
"Comparative verification of documents in the system, satellite monitoring and ground checks make it possible to ensure the transfer of funds paid by the state to the agricultural sector," added the ministry.
