Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover amounted to about $11.8 billion from January through May 2021, which is by 6.1 percent more than in the same period of last year, Trend reports citing a report from the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.
Some $7.4 billion accounted for export in the structure of foreign trade turnover from January through May 2021, which is by 6.5 percent more than from January through May 2020.
The share of export amounted to 62.84 percent of the total volume of foreign trade turnover.
Azerbaijan's import exceeded $4.3 billion from January through May 2021 decreasing by 4.8 percent compared to the same period of 2020.
The share of import in foreign trade turnover amounted to 37.16 percent.
The balance of foreign trade turnover on an annualized basis decreased by 8.2 percent and remaining positive amounted to $3.03 billion.
