Kazakhstan’s Akmola region sees dynamics of investment growth in manufacturing industry

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 18

More than 17 billion tenge ($39.7 million) has been invested over five months of this year increasing by 1.5 times compared to last year, head of Kazakhstan's Akmola region Ermek Marzhikpayev indicated such data in his report, Trend reports.

“By the end of the year, investors plan to launch the implementation of 23 projects with investments worth more than 150 billion tenge ($350.5 million), of which a half accounts for food industry projects,” head of Akmola region said.

"The biggest one is the construction of Ak Dala Agro poultry farm with a capacity of 6,000 tons per year with the prospect of increasing the capacity to 15,000 tons,” Marzhikpayev added. “The important projects in the field of agricultural engineering are being implemented.”

“So, KAIK company has been recently dynamically developing and expanding its assortment - about 20 modifications with a level of localization from 50 percent to 90 percent,” the head of the Akmola region said.

“The 2nd stage of expansion by more than one billion tenge ($2.3 million) will be completed this year,” Marzhikpayev said.

“In the future, the company will implement the 3rd and 4th stages with bringing the capacity up to 3,500 pieces of equipment per year," the head of the Akmola region said.

Moreover, Kazrost Engineering company is actively implementing a new project for the production of small-sized tractors.

The production capacity is 150 tractors per year. The number of investments exceeded one billion tenge ($2.3 million).

In parallel, a new service center is being built. The construction industry is also developing successfully.
