A total of 28,322 passenger cars were manufactured in Kazakhstan from January through May 2021, which is 16.4 percent more than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
In turn, passenger car production in May alone amounted to 5,398 cars, which also is 68.8 percent more than in May 2020.
The number of cargo vehicles manufactured in Kazakhstan during the reporting period stood at 3,044 vehicles (715 in May), of specialized vehicles at 101 (4 in May).
Furthermore, the number of trailers, semi-trailers, and containers manufactured in May 2021 amounted to 29, which is 92.4 percent less than during May 2020. The number of trailers, semi-trailers, and containers manufactured over the reporting period stood at 299 vehicles, which is 70.5 percent less than during the same period of last year.
In turn, spare parts for vehicle output amounted to 34,231 during five months and 6,405 in May 2021, which is 7.6 percent more and 7.9 percent less respectively than during the same period of 2020.
Thirteen diesel locomotives were also manufactured in Kazakhstan over five months of 2020.
