The volume of produced goods and provided services in Baku from January through June 2021 grew, Trend reports on August 4 referring to the City Statistical Department.
According to the department, this indicator amounted to 18.7 billion manat ($11 billion), which is 4.2 percent more than in the first half of 2020.
Some 75.8 percent of the goods were manufactured in the mining industry, 21 percent - in processing, 2.5 percent - in the production, distribution, and supply of electricity, gas, and steam, 0.8 percent - in water supply, waste treatment, and recycling sector.
The share of the private sector in the total production volume reached 83.3 percent, while the share of industrial products amounted to 90.9 percent, and industrial services – 9.1 percent.
As of July 1, 2021, a stock of finished products in the warehouses of industrial enterprises amounted to 354.8 million manat ($208.7 million).
The warehouses of industrial enterprises also store products purchased from other enterprises and intended for resale in the amount of 57.3 million manat ($33.7 million).
The volume of industrial goods and services in Baku over 2020 amounted to 29.7 billion manat ($17.4 billion), down 4.8 percent compared to 2019.
