Uzbekistan reduces export of peaches

Uzbekistan reduced the export of peaches by 6,500 tons in 1H2021, compared to the corresponding period last year, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

During the reporting period, Uzbekistan exported almost 9,000 tons of peaches worth $7.1 million.

In particular, the importing countries were: Kazakhstan-4,100 tons, Russia-4,100 tons, Kyrgyzstan-748.3 tons, Belarus-6.7 tons, Ukraine-5.9 tons, the UAE-2.1 tons.

Earlier it was reported that as of August 1, 2020, Uzbekistan exported 47,700 tons of peaches to nine foreign countries. The total amount of supplies amounted to $36.3 million.

According to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan in January through August 2020, the volume of exports of fruits and vegetables amounted to 979,800 tons and in value, exceeded $595.6 million (the rate of decline compared to the same period in 2019 was 31.5 percent).

Some 558,800 tons of vegetables were exported for $235.1 million, as well as 257,900 tons of fruits and berries for $249.1 million (the rate of decline in value terms, compared to the same period in 2019, respectively amounted to 34.4 percent and 18.6 percent).
